Introduction

Youth entrepreneurship in Ghana is shaping the future of work and sustainable development. At a time when youth unemployment remains a challenge, innovation and startups are creating new opportunities in agribusiness, digital technology, and creative industries. To support this vision, the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), through its Institute of Entrepreneurial Development, Education, and Innovation (IEDEI), in partnership with Access Bank Ghana, organized the Career & Entrepreneurship Pitch Project 2025, aimed at driving youth innovations and entrepreneurship for sustainable development.

The event brought together students, academics, policymakers, and industry leaders to exchange ideas, pitch business concepts, and promote innovation as a pathway to economic growth.

What is the Career & Entrepreneurship Pitch Project?

The Career & Entrepreneurship Pitch Project is an initiative designed to bridge academic knowledge with practical entrepreneurial skills. It provides young people with the chance to:

  • Present innovative business ideas,
  • Gain mentorship and career advice, and
  • Build connections with stakeholders in academia, business, and public service.

Key Highlights of the 2025 Edition

1. Student Pitch Presentations

Participants showcased innovative business ideas in agribusiness, technology, and social enterprise, tackling real-world problems with practical solutions.

One of the eye-catching attractions at the event was this beautifully designed heart-shaped metallic pot stand. Its unique design—half painted black and the other half white—created a perfect balance between elegance and simplicity, making it a centerpiece that drew many visitors for photos and admiration.
